New Louis Vuitton

I can't wait to show you what came today. I'd been eyeing this basic starter LV for forever. It was between this and the Neverfull, of course (how many times have you heard that conundrum? Probably a lot.) Since I love my old Speedy so much, I went for the tried and true.

My new ebene Speedy 30 arrived in wonderful condition. I couldn't have been happier!

 She is a used Speedy, but essentially in mint condition. It feels great to own such a gorgeous bag. There is nothing wrong with being a smart shopper, buying pre-loved to save an extra hundred or two!

Thrift haul

We hit the motherload! K and I hit up just two thrift stores, and yet came home with our arms full. Many of the clothes I bought were at the drycleaners when I took this pic, so here is just a small sampling. Let me know if you're interested in seeing the entire haul!

 I had to fight the woman behind the counter for this bracelet and drop earrings. As soon as I asked to see the bracelet, she said "Oohhh, I didn't see this here, or else I would have jumped on it!" Well, of course then I had to take it home ;)

I'm a huge pink and gold person so I'm super happy with this find.

I love creative storage. Check out this adorable box I found for $4! The mirror can close down, and then you can pull something down to cover all those little compartments in the back, which is great for travel. I couldn't love this more - how creative! (And roomy!!) It doesn't come close to fitting all the makeup I own, of course, but it's for the makeup I use every single day that I like to keep out.

Rehabbing a vintage Speedy

I know there must be others out there like me. People who are so obsessed with handbags, that it's gotten to the point that the more "vintage" a bag, the more history behind it, the more beautiful it is. I also have a thing for "project bags." Don't ask me where it came from!

I recently acquired this 14 year old Speedy 30 from an acquaintance

 She is just gorgeous if you ask me, so well loved and has seen many miles. She is still incredibly strong with no rips, tears, or pulling away from the canvas at the handles. There are only two real flaws with her, which I'm needing your advice about! Read below for more.

 First, as you can see here, the zipper pull is broken. Not sure what to do about that. The zipper had already been replaced once, and obviously the previous owners chose a bit of a cheap route and did not reapply a good quality zipper. Hmm.

The second problem is the handles. They are extremely patinad, almost to a fault. At TBF I was told to use a magic eraser - well, I did that to the one handle on the foreground, and as you can see it created a much worse look.

Any more advice for getting this baby into better shape?

Haul: Victoria's Secret

I'm kinda obsessed with the Dream Angels line from Victoria's Secret. More specifically, the demis. They fit me perfectly, provide great support, hold up well, all while being super comfy, adorable, and just plain gorgeous. I believe that Vickie's Secret's most beautiful bras belong to this line. I own at least 10 of these bras!!

I'm home sick today. It's just me and my dog, Riley. On my way to pick up some cold medicine, I decided to stop and check out a sale that was going on at VS.  I also had a rewards card to spend, and the sale they're having  right now was too good for me to miss - all Dream Angels panties just 5 bucks! Woooo.

See what I got:

Yep, another Dream Angels demi. I can't help it! They're sooo prettyyy, and I have a thing for pretty, girly lingerie. Wearing it totally gives you confidence! Don't you agree?

I also picked up the matching thong, as well as the panty. If you're wondering about the sale, my advice to you is to get in there quickly. It's only the second day, and already the selection in my size was extremely limited. I was a bit disappointed, to tell you the truth. These two panties I got were the last of this style. Still, since they were originally $15 each, it was an excellent deal.
